[點播] Operator (That's not the Way It Feels) by Jim Croce
那天衛方在MSN上收到一個女孩的問候。女孩跟自己參加同一個教會，衛方放假返台的時候，衛方總是可以感受到這個女孩的善意關切。跟教會裡，衛方裡真正在意的另一個女生一樣，名字裡也有一個別緻的「鈴」。MSN上的此鈴仍在試著勸衛方回去教會，她說，彼鈴很快就會和老公移居中國天津了。一切都過去了，此鈴說。
其實衛方也很想打電話跟彼鈴說，他已經沒事了，那天得知她結婚的打擊已經過去，他可以自己照顧自己。啊，可是就像Croce清澈而無奈的歌聲所說，實際上，衛方還是不能接受，也不想再回去教會了啊。

Jim Croce，本名 James Joseph Croce，他出身於費城南部，1965年從費城的Villanova大學畢業，在校時就曾經擔任校園電台DJ、組過合唱團。畢業後他跟太太Ingrid試著往紐約市打天下，但沒有成功。他在60年代尾聲換過許多份不同工作，包括卡車司機，週末才在住家附近的Pub作現場演出。靈感來的時候，就在休息之際，在大卡車的駕駛座上不斷寫歌。這樣到了1971年，他認識了搭擋的吉他手 Maury Muhleisen，再將自己的demo tape寄到唱片公司。這次Croce一炮而紅。如果沒有1973年九月二十號的那場空難，奪去了他與Maury的生命，那麼流行音樂史上也許會有另一對能與 Simon & Garfunkel 相提並論的二重唱。
Croce的精簡曲風、大量使用空心吉他，用他清澈而不帶煙火氣的唱腔娓娓道出了許多生命中的故事，影響了台灣後來的校園民歌，最明顯的大概要算是蔡藍欽兄弟檔吧？

Seetoo，看到你留言了。我只有聽過CY說過他師尊跟學生結婚的事，嘻嘻（抿嘴笑）。
不過，你這樣說我倒是想起來，其實CY的課我一堂都沒上過耶。當初我是看到CY常發表文章（那是很多年前的事了），就想說「那麼我就找這個老師吧」，然後就寫信給CY說我要跟她了。。。。
還有你現在在哪裡啊？台灣？CY週日要來費城兩天說。

對，在台灣。
Sunstein的那個八卦大意如下：當初Sunstein還在哈佛任教的時候，CY正在哈佛唸LLM。Sunstein人雖然紅不過一直都是準時上課，住在哈佛的教職員宿舍。有一回，Sunstein一直沒出現，大家正在奇怪是怎麼一回事，後來有個也住校區旁邊的學生進來說，不必等了，Sunstein教授正在鬧家庭革命呢。
原來這Sunstein的元配也是哈佛的英美文學系教授，案發前幾天出去外地開學術會議，會議結束了之後提早到家，正好逮到Sunstein跟Martha Nussbaum睡在同一張床上。所謂「家庭革命」就是Sunstein元配正在教員宿舍區外大吵大鬧摔家具尋死覓活，被路過的學生看到。
後來Sunstein跟元配離婚之後，出書的題辭都改獻給Martha Nussbaum。只好說，有此前科，他的新緋聞並不意外啊。

那他為了genocide chick而離開的那個人，其實已經不是「元」配了～
mm.. 前幾天才看到瑪莎出新書，講宗教與法律，紐約時報有書評，可我看的時候，腦中一直縈繞著這個八卦，結果有看跟沒看一樣。

至少以後可以用更「解構」的心態來看這些皇皇巨著啊。
