[點播] Jersey Girl by Tom Waits
我向新朋友 Jessie 大姐提議，在她的部落格上點播一首 Tom Waits。因為看到了創作型才女 Carole King 的歌，有感而發。Tom Waits也是一樣，創作力驚人，但歌喉平平－－用這兩個字形容還算是太客氣了，根據wikipedia的資料，有人說Waits的歌聲就像「用陳年的波本威士忌浸泡，然後放到燻肉的煙房裡擺上幾個月，最後再被大卡車輾過去」的那種感覺。或者簡單說，「重度喉癌」。Waits雖然自己有出片，但他的歌都是經過其它大牌樂手翻唱後才聞名於世，比方說 Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Eagles。
Jessie大姐提議兩方各點一首。所以就是這首 Jersey Girl 吧。原唱版本發行於1980年，但結果是卻是來自 New Jersey 的「老闆」Bruce Springsteen的翻唱讓這首歌廣為人知，也是老闆少數公開發行的翻唱曲。此外，同樣也來自於 New Jersey 的 Bon Jovi 也有翻唱版本。
